Head trainer Groeschner saystorn ligaments in ankle is most serious injury – will most likely require surgery. #sfgiants
Might be 6-8 weeks of rehab, maybe more according to #sfgiants trainer – he could not predict if Posey would return this season, “TBD”
Asked how severe the ankle tears are on a scale from 1-10, Groesch said, “it’s severe.”
Groeschner did not rule out that Posey could catch again, “he has age on his side…he’s a great athlete” #sfgiants
And from Jaymee Sire:
Bochy was asked if he expects to see Posey back at some point this year. Bochy: “I do.”
