Post-game Recap: Worry About The Bum? Nah.

After a disasterous start, Madison Bumgarner comes back strong. In seven innings, he struck out eleven, only allowing six hits and one walk. He allowed only one run in this strong outing.

Jeremy Affeldt came in in relief and pitched just as strong. Five K’s in two innings and on twenty-four pitches.

And in the unexpected offense department, Chris Stewart drove in two runs. Aubrey Huff also drove in an insurance run. Three runs proved to be enough for the Giants to sweep the Indians.

Pablo Sandoval exited the game with a tight quad muscle, but is expected to be okay in time for Tuesday’s doubleheader in Chicago.
