Series Preview: Bringing It Back To The Bay

Tonight, the Giants begin a nine game homestand with a series against the San Diego Padres. Fresh of a “no way they actually won a game in Cincinnati” win, Eric Hacker makes his Giants debut on the mound tonight. The 29 year old journeyman began the season in Fresno and has a 2.19 ERA in four starts and 24.2 innings pitched.

The Padres will have Cory Leubke on the mound for them tonight. They’ve gone 4-6 in their last ten games and are 6-14 on the season. That is indicative of the Padres’ season so far. At least they don’t have Mat Latos anymore. Except he’s in Cininnati now. No one wins.

On Saturday, Tim Lincecum faces righty Anthony Bass. This time, Lincecum has a nice, shiny W next to his name. Now we’ll see if he gets another one.

Madison Bumgarner starts on Sunday, opposing Clayton Richard.

Just win a game, Giants. That would be nice.
