Series Preview: Giants Going Fishing In Miami

The last time the Giants played the Marlins…I’d rather not think about it. I was at two of those games. That wasn’t fun. But alas, Matt Cain had been Cained, Barry Zito was perfectly Zitonian, and Ryan Vogelsong had a tough time throwing strikes in the early innings, but managed to stay in the game for a while but the offense had a problem with RISP.

This doesn’t really seem that different from any other series, I suppose.

And tonight, they venture into the wild of South Florida, where there is–

No, no, there’s the Marlins, the Miami Marlins. They’re currently in third place in the NL East with a record of 24-20 and–

Doodad, stop that. I’m trying to write a preview here.

Anyway, they have Giancarlo Stanton, whose name is still very fun to say. But it will be key for the Giants to not give up any home runs to him, because that would be swell.

In the four game series, the Giants have Ryan Vogelsong, Tim Lincecum, Madison Bumgarner, and Matt Cain pitching.

For the love of everything, it would just be great to see decent defense, decent offense, and A+ pitching. Is that so much to ask fo–
